As some of you know, I love to travel, just sometimes time and money doesn't allow me to just take off on a whim...until now. Booking the flights to Canada was a real spur of the moment decision for me.
You see, I'm turning 40 in November and I had plans to go somewhere, initially Hawaii but for just a week, it was a little on the exxy side.
And for the first time ever, I'll be travelling alone. I've always holidayed with family, never alone. (Well, I did Sydney for three days but that really doesn't count, does it?)
Anywho, so I decided Canada as my cousin lives there. I mentioned to him that I wanted to come in November but he said it'll be cold and won't be able to do much, come in June/July instead. So we pissfarted around with dates that suited both of us and bada bing bada boom, the flights were booked and paid for. I had 24 hours to cancel and get a full refund...just in case. I didn't cancel as I would've disappointed my cousin as I've been saying for years I'll come and visit and I also would have disappointed myself.
So there you have it. I'll be departing on Saturday 3rd June at 9.25am. Flying United Airlines as they had the best deal for the dates I had chosen. Will be arriving in Vancouver and I'll stay there for the week with an overnight stay in Whistler, as it's only two hours from Vancouver.
Still trying to put together an itinerary for the four-ish days that I have in Vancouver. Obviously I'm not going to see everything...I'll need to save that for when I return. Then it'll be three weeks with my cousin and his family.
Until next time, toodles xo
